Department Profile:
The Department of Economics established in 2002-03.Economics was taught at general and special level.The department has 2 faculties and they are actively engaged in teaching and research activities. At present 27 students pursuing their studies with Economics as a special subjects. teachers provide academic and personal counceling to the student preparing for the careers in banking, stock market, insurance, investment analysis etc. Departmental faculty have published 06 research papers in various journals and proceeding of seminar and conferences.
Mission, Aims and Objectives of the Department
Mission
To create the awareness among the students of the world economy and Indian economy and to discuss current issues and Provide relevant, up-to-date, and career – oriented education in Economics.
AIMS
To develop Rational Approach for Economic behaviors and values in younger generation by teaching, learning, research and extension services, supporting effective qualities and skill of students for growing them into society as responsible and excellent human
OBJECTIVES
- To study the behavior of the economy..
- To expose student to a new approach to the study of the Indian economy.
- Up gradation of Knowledge in recent trends and developments in Economics.
- To acquaint recent trends and skills in different branches of Economics.
- To encourage the Students in solving the various economic problems.
- To make the Students fit for employment.
- To provide the facilities in the courses offered by the department.
